IndyForms now delivers notifications directly inside the platform via the bell icon — in addition to email. Every event that previously triggered an email notification will also appear in your in-app notification feed, so you can stay informed whether you are working in IndyForms or checking your inbox.
What Triggers a Notification?
Any event that previously sent you an email notification will now also appear in your in-app feed, including:
A form is submitted
An Action Item is assigned to you
A response is added to an Action Item
A form is shared with you
How to Access Your Notifications
Log in to IndyForms.
Click the bell icon in the top navigation bar.
Your notification feed will open, displaying your most recent activity.
Click any notification to go directly to the relevant form record or Action Item.
To clear your feed, click Mark All as Read at the top of the notification panel — this will mark every unread notification as read at once.
To review past notifications, click View History to see a full log of all previous notifications.
💡 IndyTip: Unread notifications are indicated by a badge on the bell icon so you can see at a glance when something needs your attention.

Q. Do I need to do anything to enable in-app notifications?
A. No. In-app notifications are enabled automatically for all users. You do not need to change any settings.
Q. Will I still receive email notifications?
A. Yes. Email notifications continue to work as before. In-app notifications are an addition, not a replacement.
Q. Can I choose to receive notifications only in-app and not by email?
A. Not yet. The ability to choose notification delivery preferences per event type is planned for a future release.
Q. Will notifications work on mobile?
A. Mobile push notifications are currently in development and will activate automatically when the IndyForms mobile app launches.
Q. Can I mark notifications as read or clear them?
A. Yes. Click into the notification feed to mark notifications as read. Contact our support team if you have any questions about managing your notifications.
