Free vs. Premium Templates
IndyForms offers two categories of templates:
Free | Available to all IndyForms users ā no paid subscription required. Browse, use, and customise freely. |
Premium | Exclusive to users on an active paid IndyForms plan. These offer advanced designs and industry-optimised layouts. Not accessible during the free trial. |
How to Access Templates
There are two easy ways to browse templates:
Option 1 ā From the Side Menu
Navigate to Templates from the main menu on the left side of your screen.
Option 2 ā From the Dashboard
Click Start designing a form from your dashboard, then select Browse Templates.
Finding the Right Template
Once you're in the templates library, you can narrow down your options in two ways:
Tags ā Click on a tag (e.g. Childcare, Fundraising, Allied Health) to filter templates by category.
Search Bar ā Enter keywords related to your form type (e.g. āincident reportā, ārisk assessmentā).
Previewing and Using a Template
Click on any template card to preview its content and structure. When you find one that suits your needs, click Use this template to open it in the Form Builder.
From there, you can:
Add, remove, or rearrange fields
Update questions, instructions, or placeholder text
Apply your organisation's branding
Publish and share the form just like any other

Q. Are all templates free?
A. No. IndyForms includes both Free and Premium templates. Free templates are available to all users; Premium templates require an active paid subscription.
Q. How do I get access to Premium Templates?
A. You must be on a paid IndyForms plan. Premium templates are not available during the free trial period.
Q. Can I edit a template after selecting it?
A. Yes ā fully. Once you click Use this template, it opens in the Form Builder where you can change any field, image, or instruction to suit your needs.
Q. Can I save my own forms as templates?
A. Any form you create can be reused as a starting point. To share a form design across organisations, go to My Home and select Copy Design to transfer it to another team or client.
Q. Can templates be shared across my team?
A. Yes. All users within your organisation can access and use any form you've created or customised from a template.
Q. What tags should I use to find the right template?
A. Tags like Childcare, WH&S, Construction / Trades, and Fundraising help you filter based on industries. The search bar helps filter by keywords.
