If you’ve created an organisation by accident or you no longer need an IndyForms account, you can permanently delete an organisation from your account settings.
⚠️ Important: Deleting an organisation is permanent. All forms, records, documents, and responses in that organisation will be permanently removed and cannot be recovered without contacting support.

Before you delete an organisation
Make sure you no longer need any forms, records, or documents in the organisation
Download or export any data you may want to keep
Confirm there are no active public forms you still need live
Check with other users or admins who may rely on the organisation

Step-by-step: Delete an organisation
1. Go to View Account
Log in to IndyForms.
Select your profile avatar in the top-right corner.
Click View Account from the dropdown menu.
2. Open the Details tab
Make sure you’re on the Details tab.
Scroll down to the Delete Organisation section at the bottom of the page.
3. Read the warning and confirm
Carefully read the disclaimer explaining what will be permanently deleted.
Click Yes to confirm you want to proceed.
This step exists to make sure you understand that the action cannot be undone.
4. Type the confirmation phrase
You’ll be prompted to type a confirmation phrase (for example, Delete [Organisation Name]).
This final check ensures you are definite about deleting the organisation.
Click Delete to confirm.
5. Organisation deleted
Once confirmed, the organisation will be disabled and removed immediately. Any public forms linked to it will stop working.
It will also no longer appear in organisation search results or your organisation switcher, which helps keep things tidy if an organisation was created by accident.
